Congratulations to Bumpus Middle School, our 2023 Middle School State Champion!
ASCA sponsors the Alabama Scholastic Challenge for Alabama middle schools in which academic quiz bowl teams comprised of 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders compete for our state championship. The ASCA middle school district tournaments took place on Saturday, January 21, and the state tournament on Saturday, February 25. The AISA middle school district tournaments took place on Wednesday, November 30, and the state tournament on Wednesday, January 18. The winner of the AISA state tournament received an automatic invitation to ASCA's state tournament. We also sponsored an elementary school tournament for students in the 5th and 6th grades. There was no district tournaments for elementary school teams, but a state tournament for elementary schools took place on Friday, January 27.
