Congratulations to Hoover High School, Gadsden City High School, West Point High School, and Hanceville High School, our 2026 high school state champions!
ASCA sponsors the Alabama Scholastic Challenge for Alabama high schools in which scholars bowl teams compete for our state championship. For 2026, the junior varsity district tournaments took place on Friday, February 6, and the junior varsity state tournament was held on Friday, March 6. The ASCA high school district tournaments took place on Friday, February 13, and the state tournaments were held on Friday, April 10. The AISA state tournament was held on Wednesday, February 25. The winner of AISA's state tournament received an automatic invitation to ASCA's Class 7A state tournament.
